Eden Whale Festival

The Eden Whale Festival is an annual event, celebrating the southern migration of the humpback and other whales. If you want to get up close and personal with these magnificent animals, there’s no better place than Eden on the NSW Sapphire Coast. Steeped in whaling history and unspoilt coastal wilderness, Eden is one of the few places to see whales feed!

If you want to get up close to these magnificent animals, there is no better place to be in Australia than Eden on the Sapphire Coast of NSW in Spring.

The whales can be seen in large numbers in the town’s stunning Twofold Bay, whether you are in a boat or, indeed, just from the shore ... And while they frolic, feed and rest, the residents are busily putting on Australia’s premier whale celebration.

For one weekend each year, the whales are celebrated along with the port's rich maritime and whaling history and stunning coastal wilderness.

There’s a spectacular street parade, vibrant markets, great local food and wine, educational marine displays and presentations, quality children’s entertainment, live music and – of course – the best whale watching experience in Australia. You can take the Killer Whale Trail, a journey around Twofold Bay and the Eden Killer Whale Museum that is rich with whales and tales of adventure.
